Terms of service

GenGrades publishes independent reviews, scores, comparisons and rankings of generative AI tools and models. Scores come from the standardized tests described on the methodology page, run on the dates shown on each page. Everything on the site is published for information only. It is not professional, legal, financial or purchasing advice, and a grade is our assessment at the time of testing, not a promise about how a product will perform for you.

Prices, limits, policies and models change often. Every fact we state about a vendor carries a source and the date we checked it, and we re-test models when new versions ship, but we do not guarantee that any page is complete, current or free of errors. Check the vendor's own pages before you buy, and tell us at contact@gengrades.com if you find a mistake; we correct verified errors and record the change in the page's changelog.

Grades are not for sale and are never changed at a vendor's request. Where a link to a tool is an affiliate link it is marked, and it has no effect on any score or ranking. Where we review a product made by the team behind GenGrades, the review says so.

Product names, logos and brands mentioned on GenGrades belong to their respective owners. We use them only to identify the products we review, and their appearance here does not mean the owner endorses GenGrades or that GenGrades endorses them. Sample outputs shown on review pages were generated by the products under review from the prompts shown; they are published for the purpose of review and criticism, carry a watermark, and are not licensed for any other use.

You may read, link to and quote GenGrades freely, with attribution and a link to the page you quote. Indexing by search engines and AI answer engines in line with our robots.txt is welcome. What you may not do:

• copy, scrape or republish the site or any substantial part of it, whether by hand or with automated tools;
• mirror the site, or bulk-extract scores, rankings, test data or sample outputs into another product or dataset without written permission;
• present our scores or text as your own, or remove attribution, dates or watermarks from anything you quote.

If you create an account you are responsible for keeping access to it secure and for what is done with it. We may suspend or close accounts used to abuse the site, to scrape it, or to interfere with other people's use of it.

GenGrades is provided as is. To the fullest extent permitted by law we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from reliance on the site, including purchasing decisions made on the strength of a grade, or from the site being unavailable or containing errors. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

We may update these terms; the current version is always on this page with the date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in force.
