What Runable is

In one or two sentences, before anything else.

Runable is a general AI agent that builds websites, apps, slides, documents, images and videos and now also runs ads and outreach, made by a 15-person startup in Bengaluru founded in 2025 by Umesh Kumar and Saksham Sarda. It turned on paid plans in March 2026 and raised a 21 million USD Series A on August 26, 2026.

Main features

What it can do, one sentence each, and whether we actually tested it.

  • Websites and apps with a backend

Builds sites and web or mobile apps with a live URL, database, Stripe payments, custom domain, SEO and analytics, and keeps a version history you can roll back.

Per Runable's Runable 2.0 post (March 7, 2026) and its pricing page.

  • Plan-first agent

Asks clarifying questions and shows a plan before it builds; you can change parts of an output by asking, roll back, or fork a chat to try up to three directions.

    Per the Runable 2.0 post.

  • Slides, documents, images, video and podcast audio

Makes slide decks with PowerPoint export, documents and research, images and videos, and scripts and audio for podcasts.

Runable names Veo 3.1, Kling 3.0 Pro, Sora 2 Pro, Seedance and Nano Banana Pro among its media models; podcasts per its Manus comparison page.

  • Grow: ads, social posts and outreach

Plans and runs ad campaigns on ChatGPT, Meta, Google, LinkedIn and TikTok, posts to social accounts, does cold outreach by email, DMs and phone, and works on SEO and visibility in AI chatbots.

Runable says no ad account is needed; TechCrunch reported that this holds only for ads on ChatGPT.

  • Choice of models

Lists GPT 6 Astra, Claude Opus 5, Claude Sonnet 5.0, Gemini 3.5 Flash, GLM 5.3, Grok 4.6, DeepSeek V4.1 Flash, Kimi K3 and its own Runner model on every plan.

Per the pricing page in October 2026; TechCrunch reports Runable is developing its own models.

  • Claw in your chat apps

Lets you tag Runable in Slack, Microsoft Teams, Telegram, iMessage or Discord and get finished files back in the chat; it runs on an always-on cloud computer and can repeat tasks on a schedule.

Per Runable's Claw and pricing pages.

  • Notetaker and Flow

Notetaker joins Google Meet, Zoom and Teams calls and writes summaries and action items; Flow turns dictation into clean text in any Mac app. Both come with the plans at no extra charge.

Per Runable's Notetaker and Flow pages.

  • Plugins and an MCP server

Says it connects to more than 3,000 plugins, and its MCP server lets other AI assistants start Runable tasks, check them and fetch the finished files.

Per Runable's pricing and MCP setup pages.

Who it is for

The people it helps and the problems it solves, and where it ranks.

Built for

  • Owners of very small businesses, such as agencies, consultancies and cleaning companies, which Inc42 names among Runable's main users
  • Creators and solo operators who pay for separate chat, slide, website and video tools
  • Manus or Genspark users comparing general agents on price and features
  • Teams who want an agent inside Slack, Teams or iMessage

Problems it solves

  • Getting a website with payments, a deck and launch videos without a developer or designer
  • Paying for several AI subscriptions that each do one job
  • Finding time for ads, social posts and outreach once the product is built
  • Turning meetings into notes and follow-up files

What it is good at

Public tests other people ran: what they gave it and how it did.

  1. Case 1

Building and marketing a small business, in Jagmeet Singh's brief test for TechCrunch (August 26, 2026)

    Input

Build and deploy a website for a fictional coffee subscription business, set up analytics, and attract its first 100 visitors with a 25 USD ad budget.

    What happened

Runable built the site and prepared an ad campaign, and handled more of the hosting inside its own platform than Cursor did in the same test. It stopped before running the ads and asked for an ad account to be connected. TechCrunch called the test brief and did not report on the quality of the site.

  2. Case 2

A pitch deck with the plan-first flow, per Runable's Runable 2.0 post (March 7, 2026)

    Input

Ask for an investor pitch deck; Runable asks clarifying questions, shows a slide-by-slide outline and builds after you approve; you then edit headlines or sections inline and export to PowerPoint.

    What happened

Runable says this ends the prompt-tweak-retry loop of its first version and claims 86% on SlidesBench without naming the comparison or method. This is the vendor's description; we found no independent test of its decks.

  3. Case 3

Meeting notes sent to team channels, per Runable's Notetaker page (October 2026)

    Input

Connect Google Calendar, let Notetaker join a client call on Zoom, then ask it to pull every action item with its owner and send the recap to the team in Slack.

    What happened

Runable says Notetaker records the full call, writes the summary and action items and can push them to Slack or Notion at no extra charge. Nobody has published a test of it yet.

Where it falls short

What it does badly, with the evidence, and what we could not settle.

Weak

Weak

  • Ran no ads in the only press test.

Evidence: In TechCrunch's test (August 26, 2026) Runable prepared a campaign but stopped before spending the 25 USD budget until an ad account was connected; Runable said only ChatGPT ads run without one, through partners it would not name.

  • Hard to know what a task costs.

Evidence: Runable's FAQ explains the order in which credits are spent but not how many credits a task uses; free daily credits stop at 15,000 a month, and its terms say fees are non-refundable unless the law requires otherwise.

  • Support, refunds and account deletion draw complaints.

Evidence: Five of the six Trustpilot reviews on October 17, 2026 gave one star, citing slow support, a refused refund and no way to delete an account or its data. Runable's privacy policy says you delete your account by emailing support@runable.com. Six reviews are a small sample.

  • Prices and limits may change, so businesses that need stable costs and a named contracting party should wait.

Evidence: CEO Umesh Kumar told TechCrunch that Runable runs at negative gross margins because it subsidises AI usage. Its terms and privacy policy name no legal entity, address or jurisdiction and show no last-updated date.

Uncertain

Uncertain

  • How good its outputs are.

Why unsure: Runable claims 92.1% on GAIA, 86% on SlidesBench and 76% on BrowseComp in its 2.0 post without describing the setup; we found no independent benchmark or review with measured results.

  • How many people pay for it.

Why unsure: Runable told Inc42 it has 1.5 million users and TechCrunch 1.7 million registered users; Kumar declined to give current revenue or the number of paying customers.

  • When Runable first launched.

Why unsure: Runable's site gives a founding date of April 22, 2025, and its 2.0 post says version 1.0 drew over 500,000 sign-ups; we found no dated launch announcement.

  • Whether your content trains models.

Why unsure: Runable's privacy policy says Google user data is not used to train generalised models and that AI providers may not train on your data, but it does not say whether Runable trains its own models, such as Runner, on what you make.

Common questions

Answer first, then why, an example, the limits and what to do next.

What is Runable?

Runable is a general AI agent that turns a prompt into a website, app, slide deck, document, image or video, and can then market the business. A 15-person startup in Bengaluru makes it, and it lists GPT 6 Astra, Claude Opus 5 and Gemini 3.5 Flash among the models it uses.

Is Runable free?

Runable has a free plan with 1,500 credits a day, capped at 15,000 a month. Pro costs 20 USD a month for 25,000 more credits and Max 100 USD for 150,000; Runable does not say how many credits a task uses.

Is Runable legit?

Runable is a real, venture-backed company: TechCrunch reported its 21 million USD Series A on August 26, 2026. Early user reviews are poor, though: five of six Trustpilot reviews gave one star, citing support, refunds and account deletion.

Is Runable better than Manus or Genspark?

No public test has compared Runable with Manus or Genspark head to head. Runable's CEO calls them its closest competitors. Runable Pro and Manus Pro both start at 20 USD a month, for 25,000 and 4,000 credits, but credits are not comparable across products; Manus's free plan gives 300 credits a day against Runable's 1,500.

Can Runable run ads for my business?

Runable can plan and prepare ad campaigns, but in TechCrunch's August 2026 test it stopped before spending money until an ad account was connected. Runable says its Grow agent runs ads on ChatGPT, Meta, Google, LinkedIn and TikTok without your own ad account; TechCrunch reported that this works only for ads on ChatGPT.

How do I delete my Runable account?

Runable's privacy policy says to email support@runable.com to delete your account and its data. Runable may verify your identity first and keep limited data for legal, security or fraud reasons; a Trustpilot reviewer in October 2026 said they found no way to delete the account or its data.

What Runable says it does

Runable sells one agent for three stages: Build, Run and Grow.

  • Build: websites and apps with a database, Stripe payments and a custom domain; slide decks with PowerPoint export; documents and research; images, videos and podcast audio.
  • Run: Claw, which puts Runable inside Slack, Microsoft Teams, Telegram, iMessage and Discord; a meeting Notetaker; Flow dictation for Mac; scheduled tasks; and an MCP server for other assistants.
  • Grow: ads on ChatGPT, Meta, Google, LinkedIn and TikTok, social posting, cold outreach by email, DMs and phone, and SEO and visibility in AI chatbots, with its own email address, phone number and spending card.

The pricing page lists GPT 6 Astra, Claude Opus 5, Claude Sonnet 5.0, Gemini 3.5 Flash, GLM 5.3, Grok 4.6, DeepSeek V4.1 Flash, Kimi K3 and Runable's own Runner on every plan. The 2.0 post claims 92.1% on GAIA, 86% on SlidesBench and 76% on BrowseComp without saying how they were measured.

Plans and credits

Pro20 USD a month25,000 a month plus the daily 1,500
Max100 USD a month150,000 a month plus the daily 1,500

Yearly billing saves 25% (pricing). Daily credits reset and do not carry over, top-ups never expire, and monthly plan credits are spent first (FAQ). Runable does not say how many credits a website, deck or video uses, and its terms say fees are non-refundable unless the law requires otherwise. Kumar told TechCrunch that Runable runs at negative gross margins because it subsidises AI usage, so today's allowances may not last.

What public tests and users show

  • TechCrunch, August 26, 2026. Asked to build and deploy a site for a fictional coffee subscription business, set up analytics and win its first 100 visitors on a 25 USD ad budget, Runable built the site and prepared a campaign, handling more of the hosting itself than Cursor did. It stopped before running ads until an ad account was connected; only ChatGPT ads run without one, through partners Runable would not name.
  • Trustpilot, October 2026. Six reviews, five of them one star, citing slow support, a refused refund, a promo code that did not apply and no way to delete an account or its data. One five-star review praised the range of features for the price. Six reviews are too few to generalise from.

We found no independent benchmark or long-form review with measured results.

How it compares with Manus and Genspark

Kumar told TechCrunch that Manus and Genspark are Runable's closest competitors.

Sources: Runable pricing, Manus help center. Credit counts are not comparable between products, because each one prices a task differently. Genspark, from MainFunc, launched in June 2024 as an AI search engine and offers an Autopilot Agent (Wikipedia). No public test has put Runable against either.

Who should wait

  • Businesses that need ads to run on Meta or Google without their own ad account: the only press test stopped short.
  • Anyone who needs predictable costs: credits per task are not published, and fees are non-refundable.
  • Companies that need a named contracting entity: Runable's terms and privacy policy name no company, address or jurisdiction.
  • Anyone who needs proven output quality: the benchmark scores are Runable's own.

  • Tool review

    Polsia

Polsia is an AI service from Polsia, Inc. that says its agents plan, code and market a company with no human staff. Founder Ben Broca launched it in December 2025 and reports 10,000 paying customers; critics doubt his revenue figures, and his own numbers show nine in ten companies on it have yet to earn a dollar.

  • Tool review

    Browser Use

Browser Use is an MIT-licensed Python library and a paid cloud service that let AI agents operate real web browsers, made by a Y Combinator startup founded by Magnus Müller and Gregor Žunič. Its GitHub repository had about 118,300 stars on October 17, 2026, up from about 50,000 at its 17 million USD seed round in March 2025.

  • Tool review

    WorkBuddy

WorkBuddy is Tencent's AI agent for office work, built by the Tencent Cloud CodeBuddy team and launched in China on March 9, 2026. In seven months it added a global edition and phone apps, and Tencent announced a Guangdong government version. It plans tasks, works on your local files and hands back documents, spreadsheets and slides.

  • Tool review

    Raccoon Work

Raccoon Work (商汤小浣熊) is SenseTime's AI assistant for office work: data analysis, documents and slides on web, desktop and phone. SenseTime merged its office and coding assistants into it on August 25, 2026, and its first-half results report cloud monthly users up nearly tenfold. No independent test of the new version is public yet.

  • Tool review

    Muse

Muse is Meta's personal AI agent: it books, shops, sends email and fills in forms from its own cloud computer, asking before it pays or sends. Meta launched it in the US on September 8, 2026 and has since added Canada. Early reviews are mixed, and Amazon blocks it from buying on its store.

  • Tool review

    Manus

Manus is a general AI agent that researches and builds slides, websites, videos and games, made by a company founded in China in 2022 and based in Singapore. China blocked Meta's purchase of Manus on April 27, 2026; Manus resumed independent operations on September 1 and launched Manus 2.0 on September 28, 2026.
